Who we are. goldvalley.com is an independent iGaming media publication covering betting, casino and gaming regulation across Africa. We publish news, reviews and guides. We do not accept bets, hold player funds, or operate any gambling service, and we hold no gambling licence. The website is owned and published by U.O.M Travel Agency Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (reg. HE391579).
This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use goldvalley.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect

We do not ask for, and do not want, your banking details, identity documents or gambling account credentials. Never send them to us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not pass your details to gambling operators so they can market to you.
- We do not use tips or messages sent to us to build marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers who help us run the site — our hosting provider, our email provider, our website analytics providers and our messaging provider for the one-time code. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes. Some of them process data outside South Africa; where that happens we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, and analytics and preference cookies that we only set with your consent. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we have no good reason to keep it;
- stop using it for a particular purpose, including any marketing;
- explain the basis on which we hold it.
Write to privacy@goldvalley.com and we will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge for a first request. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Children
This site is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we hold information about a minor, tell us at privacy@goldvalley.com and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold. No website can promise perfect security, and we will tell you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects your information.
